Derrick White Signs 4-Year Contract with San Antonio Spurs
$70 Million Deal Includes $68 Million Guaranteed
Spurs Retain Key Playmaker
San Antonio Spurs guard Derrick White has reportedly agreed to a four-year, $70 million contract extension, including $68 million guaranteed, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. This marks a significant pay raise for White, who was set to earn $17.3 million in the final year of his rookie deal.
White has emerged as a valuable asset for the Spurs, averaging 15.4 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 6.4 assists last season. He has also developed into a reliable three-point shooter, making 38.5% of his attempts from beyond the arc.
The Spurs were eager to retain White, who has become a key component of their young core. The extension will keep him in San Antonio through the 2025-26 season.
